Wow-wee, another week has whipped by!
Thank you so much for the get well wishes. It’s a slow progress with this headcold for Princess Jellybean and me. I started taking it easy toward the end of the week.
I’ve been getting lots of reading done. I’ve finished eight – yes, you’ve read that correctly – books since talking about Binchy’s The Copper Beech here on 09.01. I’m on the last book of the Percy Jackson series, got three more of Maeve’s books under my belt, tried out two new authors, and fnished my mum’s two library books before they were due.
You can see me multitasking below Friday evening:
I tried this new recipe. It’s pretty good. I would like the sauce to be thicker like a traditional stew. I would use cornstarch next time to thicken the sauce and would buy skin on, bone-in chicken thighs and drumsticks to provide more flavor and to be moister.
Yesterday, our school had a community day at AT&T Park:
PTA had bought 100 tickets for the second to last game against the Padres. We parked by 37th and Judah to take the N down. LOL, you see my hubbie messin’ around. I wore official Giants gear for the first time. Used some birthday money from my baby niece and her parents.
It was a scorcher! We were in the View Reserve Outfield. I was a good mum and made sure we were greased up. The girls had fun grubbin’ on hot dogs, cotton candy, and lemonade.
So of course I was representin’ us knittahs:
At the game and on the ride home, I got about 30 rounds of the leg done! So that takes me to 63 and I need to get up to 75 before hitting the ribbed cuff. Woo hoo! In the home stretch, baby, for this project!
What’d you do this weekend?
What was the weather like?
